Swami
Vivekananada said, “Education is the manifestation of the
divine perfection already present in man.”
Vidyanjali believes that each and every child has a
potential to develop. This potential has to be recognized and
brought out by means of education. Such a kind of
education is made available to all children irrespective of
caste, creed and gender at Vidyanjali.
Learning at Vidyanjali is not just to pass examinations and
get certificates. Here learning is for learning. The child
learns for the joy of learning and enjoys his/her own research
and new, self-created challenges. Similarly, the games and
sports at Vidyanjali are for enjoyment and not mere
competitions. Competitions conducted at Vidyanjali do not take
away the pleasure of playing games. The child learns to live
independently with a strong body, mind and spirit in the
present world of globalization.
While there is a lot of talk on terrorism going on in the
whole world and attempts are made to improve the communities,
societies and countries, Vidyanjali lays a foundation of
‘Non-violence’ in the formative years of childhood. Children
are helped to be free from all regional, communal, language
biases and to show respect not only for human beings, but all
living and non-living things on MOTHER EARTH in the
Sadbhaavana classes.
Vidyanjali focuses at improving self-esteem of the children,
which is very much talked about in recent years and which
forms the basis for self-development, through workshops and
discourses.
Thus Vidyanjali aims at providing a strong foundation to
realize ‘SELF’, respect others’ needs & talents, understanding
the value of interdependence. |
